Hello to the person/s that are going to help me. I have a software activation problem with the latest stable downloadable copy of CNC USB controller. As soon as I copy and paste the REGISTRATION KEY and click ok the dialoge box disappears and thats it.

No registration. Here is a step by step of what I have done (1)bought and recieved a break out board and licence key from probotix.com and used this link and downloaded the latest stable copy of the software. (2)downloaded the software, installed the software and driver. (3)read the manual and read over common problems in the FAQ / forum.

(4)reset the computer. (5)connected the break out board. Power red and status green led functioning (6)updated the firmware (7)updated the software (latest version no update required.) (8)started the software went to help and licence activation. Then dialog box shows the CPU and serial number in the top bar, I copy and paste the REGISTRATION key into the box provided and click ok. From there nothing happens the box disappears and well i am still not registered. I am using an INTEL i7 laptop with windows home 7 premium 64bit with full updates.

I have a USB-CNC MkII board, and had just started playing with it - the software was licenced and working. After reinstalling the software on my laptop as I'd had a hard disk crash, I also went to update the firmware in the CNC-USB controller as well (which seemed like good practice). This appears to have changed the serial number of the CNC-USB board, and the software deactivated itself, not accepting my original licence key.

Apologies; it's a MK1 - I got that wrong, but the serial number has most definately changed (I took a screenshot of the activation box when I first put the code in), as has the 16 digit hashcode that appears in the activation box. The controller is working normally - I can move the axis manually, but I'm restricted to 25.nc commands. I have reinstalled the driver and it hasn't made any difference.

I'm not sure how to go about the 'manual bootloader mode' startup, but I'll read up and give it a go. Fingers crossed.
